I am just try to install the XEROX Global View Software on a SS2.
When the system tries to load the xns device driver with a command of the
form
modload /dev/xnsdrv.o -entry _xnsdrv_vdcmd -exec /dev/xnsdrv.MKDEV
I get the error message
can't load module: not owner
from the modload command. Is there anyone out on the net who can explain,
why I get this error message. The modload command is run as root and all
files are owned by root. I further reserved enough room in the corresponding
device switch table (cdevsw) for the driver and configured the kernel for
loadable drivers.
