Suns for SAS and Large DATA

I have been asked to look into the possibility of using a SPARC server for
running SAS with large datasets such as CENSUS data which would be stored
on an external media (presently 9 track tapes).  This would be a system fo
multiple users.  Is there anyone doing this at the present time?  I am
