Bring up Berkeley networking?

OK, standard question number 1. We have a Mac II with A/UX on loan from
Apple. It came with no documentation, except online, and the man page
for networking is gone.
Can anyone mail me a quick tutorial on how to turn on Berkeley networking
and bring the machine up on the ethernet?
