continuous beeping when idle under A/UX 2.0...

Hoh. This one's strange.
After someone logs in, and is idle for approximately 5 minutes, the
Mac starts to beep approximately once a second. This is irregardless
of volume setting; I've got the setting at 0, and it beeps at a lower volume
then when at the 1 setting. Putting the volume at 1, and it beeps at the
1 volume.
The only non-standard stuff that's going on is the moire cdev and
three NFS mounts.
The only way to stop the beep is to move the mouse. Hitting some keys
doesn't do it.
Got me. What's happening?
