Intermedia and MacOS files

We have been having considerable difficulty importing MacOS files
for use with the Intermedia package, despite getting all files in
the correct format and transferring them with hfx. We also have
had no luck in getting a telephone response from Intermedia. 
Basically, the files transfer okay, and after renaming according
to Intermedia conventions, they appear as Intermedia documents,
but Intermedia quits on any attempt to open the files for reading.
If anyone can shed any light on this problem, we would appreciate
hearing from you.
