CommandShell Strangeness

I have two difficulties with the otherwise wonderful CommandShell application,
and I was wondering if anyone could assist me in correcting these.
1) When a floppy disk is inserted, every so often this act will kill the
CommandShell and any child processes. This does not happen if the CS
windows are hidden first.
2) If I set up my windows, and save the resulting preferences, then when the
CS first comes up, it opens all of my windows but does not allow me to
access them through the "Window" menu bar option. The names of the windows
are displayed there, and they are written in normal or outline font as
they're supposed to be, but the text pattern is a hash (i.e. like a non-
available option in a menu), and the window is not displayed in response
to menu or keyboard (cmd-#) selection. Choosing "Select All" does display
the window.
I know point (1) was brought up many moons ago, but I didn't see any reasonable
answer to it. I haven't seen anyone else comment on (2).
Setup:
Mac IIfx, 8megs, A/UX 2.0, Apple Ethernet, 80meg HD & NFS files
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Tom.
