I have a similar recollection, but no hard data. On a related item, I
found the following disturbing notice in a recent information packet
about ESIX:
Updates from one version to another will be available for a nominal
media and processing cost, such as moving from R.3.2 Version A to
R.3.2 Version B.
An upgrade, such as moving from R.3.2 to R.4.0 is considered a
separate product because of the AT&T licensing restrictions.
