Need help with Convergence Technology 6300 CTIX 3.2

I just got a Convergence technology sytem running a UNIX V derivative
called CTIX 3.2 from 1985. The system CPU is a 68010 with 2 meg memory 256x1
and a 40 meg hard drive and one 360K floppy. It also has 2 serial ports a
printer port and a 464? 'cluster' port. One catch, I did not get the manuals,
original (40?) system floppies but, the complete system is installed on the HD
Now my problems:
1) I want to back up the complete system (boot track and all) so that
if I accidentally crash, burn or kill the hard disk, I can restore the
system to another hard disk or the current one. But, I don't even
have a clue on how to format the floppy. Any help here is VERY VERY
HAPPILY ACCEPTED.
2) I also have a TELERAY terminal but, the system is auto set for
VT-100. I have copied a new termcap file from a BSD V (DEC) system
with the TELERAY defined. I assumed that I must replace the current
termcap with this one (160K long). But, I don't know how to continue
from there. I want to have the system prompt for terminal type after
the login and be able to set the correct terminal type or if it can
not find the terminal type then default to the teletype.
3) The current system has a 40 meg hard drive and a 360k floppy. I
want to and a second hard drive and change the floppy to 1.2meg. On
the mother board is a socket for another data cable for a hard drive.
The hard drive looks like a MFM drive found in IBMPCs. It has similar
interface on the edge connectors (one for data and larger for control)
I assumed I could just get a controller cable with 2 connection and
another data cable then I could hook up the second drive. All I have
to do aft that is to find and install a new device driver and move
some switches on the motherboard. For the floppy I don't have the
faintest idea. I don't think I can just replace the drive.
4) The CPU is a 68010 (I don't know the speed) but, I want to change it
to a 68020 or 68030 with the FPU if I can. There must be a generic
board to plug on top of the old CPU with the new chips such as in the
MAC, ATARI, AMIGA, SUN? I would probably need to change the compiler
and assembler to use the new chips. I may have to install some kind
of drivers to let the chips function properly with 68010 codes.
5) I have a 2400 and 1200 baud modem (Hayes and ???) and would like
to hook it to the system (serial port 1?). I want to both call out
and accepting calls from the modem (like a terminal gateway). Does
anyone know how to do this?
6) If someone has a similar machine, I need to talk to hat person to
find out more about this system and its limitations.
Thanks for your time,
Alex Davis

P.S. Does anyone have a set of UNIX manuals that is nolonger needed?
Is there an address for the company that makes the CONVERGENCE 6300
or support it in the US. (Better yet California?).
