Okay, I wanna know. What all is included with each of these upgrades.
I know that Bell Tech has Streams and Networking stuff. Does the
Interactive also havem?? What does it have. Does the Bell Tech upgrade
include an Upgrade for DOS/Merge? I have 5 systems which I need to
upgrade YESTERDAY, so talk to me. What I need is:
4 1-2 User Sys V r 3.2 with Development and VP/ix.
1 Unlimited, Full Blown All but the source UNIX and VP/ix(for ME ;-)
The Four have been sold to customers, but it looks like my company may
get stuck with upgrading them anyway. (Gee, would you pay for a system
which wasn't working yet, and had no support for the OS?? 8-{ What I
need for the justification is pricing/delivery times, Credit information,
and anything else you can think of. I won't split the order, I gotta have
all matching stuff. No more time for screwing around with "slight"
incompatibilities.
Do any of the following BUGS exist:
80387/80386/DMA goes to never never land
Pause key on keyboard causes DOUBLE PANICs
Various other Keyboard problems in VP/ix
VP/ix will not work properly with Monochrome Text
Serial Ports start dropping characters at 12/2400 baud
My exact configuration is:
16 Mhz 1 wait state Eltech 386
4.5 Meg Intel 80386 Motherboard
80387
120 Megabyte Maxtor HD
1.2 Meg/360K floppies
Everex Magic I/O video card
QUIMAX Monochrome Monitors
Everex 60Meg Internal Streaming QIC-36 Tape Drive
Digiboard COM 4 board (not intelligent)
Each system is running:
1 9600 Baud Protocol'd Port
2 9600 Baud Serial Printers
1 2400 Baud Protocol'd Port
1 1200 Baud Modem
so the serial drivers have got to work.
Thanks for any help, and sorry it was so long winded, I have been on
the phone with a customer all day about his problems (I could mention
a few he hadn't thought of too >-{
