Hello,
I've notice if you are logged into a virtual console and then
access a new virtual console by, say pressing alt-F7, vcon will
automatically log you into the new virtual console. The problem that
I've encountered is that the group is set to root, not the group
specified in /etc/passwd. Does anybody have a fix for this. I'm
currently putting newgrp in my .profile, but this leads to more problems.
In my .profile I check to see which console I'm on and then execute a
file if it exists called .session_#, where # is the console number.
Since I have to do a newgrp first, I set a variable NEWLOGIN for export.
I then check to see if NEWLOGIN is set in my ENV file. If it is I
unset NEWLOGIN, and then execute the .session file. This is a lot of
trouble needless to say. If any one has a patch for vcon I would sure
appreciate it.
Thanks in advance
bill
