I am having problems with a Telibit TrailBlazer Plus PC modem with
Microport V/AT version 2.4. The modem model no is T18PC with BB4.00
firmware. I have swapped the 8250 for a 16550 and I am using Jim Murray's
asy driver.
This works very well with uucp on dialout but I am having problems
with dialing in at v22bis using a ttyM1 port. I tried using ttyM1 with
kermit and it worked ok. I got a connection and was able to send
data both ways and was able to hangup correctly from both ends. If I try
to use inittab and getty I get a connection but it is cleared very quickly
by the trailblazer. I have based my setup on that posted by Eric Raymond.
AT &F ; Reset to factory defaults
AT Q1 ; Local quiet.
AT s52=1 ; Disconnect if DTR is turned off.
AT S53=3 ; DCD on carrier detect, DSR on when modem off-hook.
AT S54=3 ; Pass BREAKs transparently.
AT S55=3 ; Don't allow escape to command mode
AT S58=2 ; Use hardware (RTS/CTS) flow control.
AT S66=1 ; Lock CPU-to-'blazer speed at S51 value
AT S90=1 ; V22 mode
AT S91=1 ; 1800 Hz guard tone
AT S92=1 ; Try PEP tones at end of autobauding sequence (see Note 2)
AT S95=2 ; Enable MNP if other side wants it
As the modem answers ok with kermit I suspect getty or gettydefs. I
have a gettydefs entry:
19200# B19200 HUPCL PARENB CS7 OPOST ONLCR # B19200 HUPCL SANE IXANY TAB3 #login: #19200
I have also tried other combinations with and without CLOCAL.
I also have Quattro modem which works fine on dialin.
I would be gratfull for any help
