Happy ending to "ps insists on accessing floppy disk"

In a couple of previous postings, dating back a number of months, I
explained how I'd rescued a corrupted, non-bootable /dev/dsk/0s0 by running
installit using the "upgrade" path but with the full installation "list"
substituted for list.ug. The only problem was that thereafter ps insisted
on accessing the floppy.
The fix turned out to be "rm /mnt/dev/swap; mknod /mnt/dev/swap b 0 1".
I wanted to share that will you folks and to thank the many people in this
group (and usenet as a whole) who are so very helpful. Very clearly I need
to educate myself as to what unix devices are all about -- it is all black
magic to me and I am not happy dwelling in darkness and having to
periodically ask "silly" questions and implement fixes which I don't really
understand.
