^S/^Q problem in SV/AT 2.4

In the 2.4 console driver (and the 3.0e one) there is a patchable 
variable (kd_dontsetleds or some such) that if non-zero keeps the
driver from screwing with the LEDs when doing ^Q^S.  You may want
to play with this...
