How do I get a list of UNIX C functions?

Here is one way. It relies on the fact that the man pages have a NAME
section that looks like:
.SH NAME
function \- description
cat /usr/man/man3/* |awk '
/^\.SH.*NAME/ { p = 1; next }
p == 1 { print; p = 0 }
'
