Porting 'window' to SunOS4.1

Has anybody successfully ported the BSD application 'window' to SunOS 4.* ?
Seems like a nifty thing to have if one often logs in via modem.
I'm having some problems with ioctl calls not succeeding. Any suggestions 
gratefully received.
