need reminder/fileing program

I am looking for a program something like mail (I have Xenix), that will
let me put in a hundred or so messages that I can retreive by 2 or 3 
key words as a personal filing system.  I am an experienced programmer,
so "user friendly" is not that important.

I believe that there is probably some utility that will do this that I
am simply overlooking.
