Borland Paradox with UNIX?

I am am considering the feasibility of running Borland's Paradox under VP/IX
or MERGE. Does anyone have anything to add to what I already know
(which is summarized below):
I have successfully operated Paradox 3.0 under Microport Unix
System V/386 rev 3 running DOS MERGE. To do this I had to install it as
a network server (network type = "other"). Performance was sluggish,
but I only have 2M of RAM installed, with a 16 MHz CPU.
SPECIFIC QUESTIONS:
1) Has anyone done this with additional users licensed, and if so, does file
and record locking work properly? Is system performance acceptable?
2) Has anyone done this with Paradox 3.5?
3) Has anyone done this using a dial-up line and a remote terminal? If so,
was performance usable? What terminal did you use?
4) Same questions but with VP/IX.
Thanks a lot.
