I have been asked by the X/OPEN Internationalisation working group to
circulate on the net an errata in the X/OPEN Portability Guide (XPG),
published January 1987. This is issue 2 which comes in 5 layflat binders.
In Volume 3, Chapter 3 Internationalisation the manual page for
CTIME(3C) contains a typo which may confuse both implementors and
application programs.
In the list of field descriptors for use in nl_cxtime() and nl_ascxtime()
the format letter for obtaining the last two digits of the year is
incorrectly specified. It should read:
y last 2 digits of year - 00 to 99
^
|
| NOTE: lower case y.
The entry is then consistent with the example given further down the
manual page.
Please could you make this change to any new copies of the January 1987
XPG which you currently have or which you obtain in the future.

for the X/OPEN Internationalisation Working Group.
