I believe Sun Microsystems provides such a translator with their
Sun Workstations. Its a program called "psdit" which takes ditroff input
and returns the postscript version.

Where does the memory go?
I am running on a SUN with 8 meg of RAM. When I monitor all the processes I
notice that I seldom use more than 5 meg, even though I have plenty of
swapped out processes and one running which has a 12.8 meg (yes, that's right
12.8) image. So where is (are) the other 3 meg. OK, I know about the size
of /vmunix (.5 meg) and the allocation for the buffers (.7 meg). So where is
the rest?
