11/23's, 11/34's, etc.

There has been some traffic regarding what to do about those old 11/23's
hanging around.  Well, I have just started an attempt to get an 11/34 up and
running and am going to be scrounging around for everything (memory, disks,
etc.)  This is a somewhat ambitious project to get BSD 2.9/2.10 up and
running on it, not a small task.  However, UN*X being the memory/disk pig it
is, I am sure that anything useful will not be lost in the transition.  If
successful, I will suggest they use the machine for the operating systems
class.  The PDP, while not having bells and whistles, is an excellent example
of a solid machine, and should still allow people to learn what can be done
even with "limited resources."
