Is there anyone out there actually runing 4.3 from Berkeley on a Tahoe?
If so, what have your experiences been?
I am also curious about the pricing on the boxes. What is the price in
terms of say dollars per mip, what sort of disks can you put on them
(e.g. standard Fuji's or NECs, or only something from CCI), what about
memory, how much do you need, how much does it cost, etc. Anything and
everything about a tahoe you would like to tell me would be appreciated.
If you're running an OS straight from CCI, what version of Unix is it,
what features from the other version does it have in it (SV + Job control,
BSD + SVID shared memory?), what other things does it have (NFS? What
version?), and what kind of support from CCI are you getting?
Same question if you've got a tahoe OEM'ed from somebody (Harris, Sperry,
er, make that Unisys).
Please reply directly to me. I have just resubscribed to comp.sys.tahoe,
so I apologize if I've missed this sort of discussion before. I've
(hopefully) redirected followups just to comp.sys.tahoe.
Factual comments from CCI people also welcome.
