getopts(1) and ksh

We are running SVR3.1 here and working under Aspen Technologies' ksh.
I've got a shell script that I want options to so I look up getopt(1).
That page tells that that getopt is going to go away and I should use
getopts(1). I look up this manual page, type the goodies in my script,
and try to run it. I get "getopts not found". I look in /bin, /usr/bin
and wherever else I can think of but I can't find getopts. Turns out
that it is a Bourne shell builtin that didn't make it to ksh. Questions:
Our version of ksh is a few years old. Has getopts been added since?
Is getopts in any version of ksh? Will it be?
Thanks for your email'd responses. By the way, we're on a 3B2/400.
