Looking for Ultrix SLIP

Hello,

I'm trying to find out for someone if anybody has SLIP working on Ultrix 1.2a
The machine in question is a Microvax II.  Apparently the installation of
a 4.2ish vax SLIP went without error and netstat reports an sl interface
exists, but it cannot be ifconfiged, and dstaddr does not work. Is there a
special distribution needed for Ultrix?  Please email replies if possible.
