what happened to learn(1)

Whatever happened to the program learn(1)?

In my V7 programmers manual, there's a chapter on learn.

Newer machines I've used (i.e. suns, Vax ultrix, various sys V) don't have
learn.  Is learn something that's freely available?    If so, where can I
get it from?  Or is there something better?  Whatever became of learn?

(I'm looking for ways to get new users up to speed in a hands-on fashion.)
