Relative merits of shells

Maybe I miss "subjected" a bit. I'm stuck with the bourne shell
for now. I am a newly installed Systam Adminsitrator who has used UNIX
for about 4 years, but is a little weak in all the things SAs do. I am
now installing 4 3B2 machines from AT&T. My problem is trying to choose
which menu/shell program to use. Here are my choices:
Assist from AT&T - looks like someone tried to make UNIX easier
to swallow.
Ascent from CDC - looks like what assist was trying to do, but
still appears slow.
FACE from ??? - Cute windows program, but the windows keep
trashing the screen once in a while. Looks promising though.
Prelude from ??? - Easiest to use for beginners, reminds me of
Lotus 123. But it hogs out 2 Meg of disk on every user's directory.
UNIX sys V rel. 3.2.? - Yes, the bourne shell, which even with
help, looses the novice quite quickly. The network of the 4 AT&T 3B2s
will be serving almost entirely, novices. So even though this is the
best choice for ME, it isn't for the rank and file necessarily.

You can reply here, or directly to me. Enough direct & I'll
summarize. I realize there are other things out there, but with budget
constraints, etc, I'm stuck with the choices above. I'd enjoy hearing
about successes or failures with any of the above and your best choice
and/or mix. I thank you for any/all replies.
