How to speed up uucp with Telebits(only getting 800 chars/sec )

You might want to make sure you have disabled the compress feature
(S110=0) when you send or receive compressed newsbatches.

I have witnessed an increase in transfer rates from 850-900
to 1250-1300 chars/second.
