Need ASCII w/ underlined and bold text -> PS filter

Does anyone have a program that will take output containing bold
and underline sequences as generated by nroff (i.e., x^Hx and x^H_)
and generate Postscript output with these handled correctly?

If such a filter exists that can be configured into the BSD lpr
stuff, that would be even better.
