YES IT IS POSSIBLE. The way I have seen it done is at shell level
and curses... With curses, you have FULL tty I/O control. It even
comes with functions for MULTIPLE ttys. But remember, root can read all
(big brother) but if your permissions are right the other users (little
brothers) can't see a thing.....
The most famous way is via KSH k-shell... You can modify and rewrite it.
And if you want, rename /bin/ksh to /bin/sh .. who knows, maybe your
sysadm is watching you read this letter... :)
if you want a pretty good demo... login to 2 ttys and from ttyn1 type
tee /dev/ttyn2 where n1 is your first tty and n2 the 2nd ex tty32..
type something in and hit enter... walla...
Look up curses in a manual and become familiar with shells and signals.
REMEMBER: They don't call the root (SUPER user) for nothing!!!!
co-big-brother (sysadm) for AT&T 3b2/400
Curses programmer until death or I get the AT&T x-windows!!! :)
