Is there ANY way to chdir from within a program?

In Article 200 at rdb1.UUCP I asked:

I left out the reasons WHY I am interested in this information. In the
DataFlex language, there is no chdir command, and I wish to be able to change
directories from within a DataFlex program. At the moment, all I can do is
exit the program, change directories, then re-run the program. If there is any
other way to perform this function, that information would be helpful as well.
There are other things for which a BDOS type of operation would be handy, but
chdir would be the primary one.
I have already received a number of responses which have mentioned section
(2) of the manuals. My thanks to those who have supplied this information. I
will look into it. Unfortunately, there is no such section to the manuals of
SCO xenix, but I should be able to find out something from the SYSV 3.2 manuals
for a Unisys 5000/85 system to which I have access.
