Opening for output on a terminal server (was Printing with terminalservers)

Another thing that can sometimes be useful when trying to talk to 
specific ports on a terminal server is to use telnet.  You have to
know the terminal server's hostname of IP address, then what it
thinks it's port numbers are with respect to unix service ports.
Check the manual.  Then:

    telnet terminal_server_hostname port_number

will connect input and output to that port.  May require some
setup on the server itself.
