Unix for '386

I'm considering purchasing a new '386 machine equipped along the following
lines:

	8M RAM, 135M HD, superVGA, 33Mhz

What I'm wondering is, what flavours of Unix are available for a machine
in this class? I'm on a tight budget and would like to retain the ability
to use MS-DOS software. Partitioning the drive off so that 40M or so
is left for DOS is a viable option; are there others? What I'm looking
for is some information on the strong and weak points of the various Unicies
(?) that are available for '386 machines and whether it is worth my while
to abandon MS-DOS as the main OS I'll be using (I still need access to
MS-DOS for software developement work).

Post responses to this group or mail to me at the address below and I'll
sumarise if there is sufficient information to warrant it. Thanks in
advance,
