For those who want to run fortran programs on NeXT, a copy of the
fortran to c translator (f2c) has been uploaded to cs.orst.edu.  It is
currently in pub/next/submissions and should appear in pub/next/sources
later.  f2c, joinly developed by people from Bell Labs, Bellcore, and
Carnegie Mellon, is free and has been under test by the net community
for over six months.  It has been verified on the NBS tests, several
large math libraries, floating point tests, even code for laying cable
on the ocean floor!
