losing chars reading from 19200 bps modem

	I'm loosing chars when reading from a 19200 bps faxmodem
	to the serialport (/dev/ttya). I'm using non-canonical i/o
	setup via ioctl() with  no flowcontrol. I'm reading various
	length records via read() statement, about 20 to 200 chars
	are received correctly. Any ideas? Some buffer exhaused or
	priority problem? The system is almost idle. The equipment 
	I use is a Spacstation 1 with SunOs 4.0.3.
