dbm info

I need a short tutorial/references/etc. on "dbm" or "ndbm".
Comments ? Info ? Please mail to rahard at ee.umanitoba.ca
since we are having problem with our news feed.
(No news in > 2 weeks !!!). 
Tutorial dbm in perl is prefferable.
