do we _really_ need to keep confirming that this list exists?
I can understand someone sending a 'please acknowledge' request
if he/she suspects a problem with their mailer, system, routing,
or plain link failures, but establishing overseas pen-pals is
a bit ridiculous isn't it??!!   :-)

remember:  Info-Unix means we're supposed to be trading
           useful information about the Unix Operating System
                             (and all it's current incarnations)
