Binary data file conversion utility wanted

Hi there. We're the people who tell spacecraft where to go (or, at least,
we tell the people who do that what to say :-)) and we're maintaining vast
amounts of code that transfer data between programs in binary files created
with FORTRAN unformatted write statements. These suckers are huge. Anyway,
we're well in the process of porting parts of our navigation system to
other machines, and have found that it is a pain to convert the floating-point
numbers between different machine formats. The architectures we're interested
in are: Unisys (1108: don't laugh), VAX, and IEEE machines such as Sun
and Apollo.

We are looking for existing software that handles these conversions. Again,
I'm just asking for routines that operate on the binary data as output by
unformatted FORTRAN writes, reason being, we've looked into a number of
workarounds already details of which I won't bore you with now. We're
willing to pay for this stuff. E-mail would be appreciated to cut down
on net bandwidth.
Thanks.
