|You could try grep `hostname` /etc/hosts

|(assuming you have such a file, or similar)
No, that will give the Internet address.
grep `hostname` /etc/ethers
should give the Ethernet address. Or if yellowpages is running,
ypcat ethers | grep `hostname`
