A hearty thanks to Raymond Chen who directed me to get the file
pub/rjc/csip/coherent.Z via anonymous ftp from math.princeton.edu.

Uncompressed, it's about 32k.  It has lots of little discussions about the
Pros and Cons of Coherent -- Exactly what I was looking for.  Thanks Raymond!
