Request for regex(3) and pty(4) sample code...

I was wondering if anyone out there had some simple 
(or at least straightforward) examples of code using
regex and pty (not together).  I had a little trouble
getting them working, and I'd just like to take a look
at how someone else uses them in a simple program rather
than posting code and asking with wrong with it.
