Terminfo Question(alternate character set)

I am running a curses based program on Sun SLC . I would like to know
how to define my line draw characters in terminfo. To be more accurate
I want to know how to define the following attributes in terminfo:

	1. smacs ( enter alternate character set)
	2. rmacs ( exit alternate character set)
	3. acs   

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
