Surely this just prints the nroff-ed man pages....what you want to do is
1) find the path to your particular topic, usually something like
/user/man/man<sec>/<topic>.<sec>
for topic(sec) (i.e. read(1) ). grep can be useful here.
2) %troff -man -t /user/man/man<sec>/<topic>.<sec> > outfile
%lpr -t outfile
or
%troff -man -t /user/man/man<sec>/<topic>.<sec> | lpr -t
