lpr a binary file to an HP Laser Jet II

I would like to print a HP Laser Jet II binary file
using 'lpr' from a remote machine.  Please show me
how to do it since I have not been successful in doing
that for quite some time now.

I'm using a Convex C220 running Convex UNIX, and the
remote machine which the laser jet is hooked up to is
a VAX-11/750 running UNIX BSD4.3.
