doesn't indent(1) break lines?

My indent(1) (SunOS 4.1) doesn't break source-lines that are longer
than 80 characters into multiple lines.  I've tried it both with an
.indent_pro and without.

I truely wish it would, as I have code from another source that badly
needs such editing.

Can't it break such lines?
