s5last dumps core

I pulled a program call s5last fronm uunet and compiled it with their
makefile on my AT&T SV/386 R3.2 system with the AT&T ANSI C compiler. 
It gives a "Bus error(coredump)" message after it executes the last
statement in main().  What could be causing that?
