Hi,
Is there a command which shows the model name of a Unix computer you are
remote-logging in?
In our site, there are a bunch of DecStations in the network all tied together
by NFS. The command name which finds the architecture in Ultrix
is "machine". Then it shows either "vax" or "mips". But I would like to
know whether it is DS 5000/200 or DS 3100 or DS2100 or Vax 6000 or Vax 9000
?
Is there a special file in the directory tree which tells the model name?
Thanks in advance.
