Hello Netters,
I have two SCO-UNIX 3.2.2 boxes running on 386, and 486 and two
Toshiba laptops running either Unix or Mess-Dos. Now to the point.
I would like to be able to hook up all these crates with Ethernet, Cheapernet
or whatever and TCP/IP or PC-NFS. Can anyone suggest hardware, software,
problems that will occur, costs and so forth ?
What is Slip ? Can one use it over modem lines at 2400bd ? Is it always
included in any TCP-IP Software packages ?
I would much appreciate any answers, since this is complete newland for
me.
If there is enough response I am willing to post a summary.
Thank you very much.
/JP
