Bourne shell "trip test"?

Is there a 'standard' script to test for Bourne-shell compatibility?
Something akin to TeX's "trip" test, that would exercise various
shell capabilities and point out discrepancies from standard bourne
shell behavior?

Such an animal would be extremely useful for developing new shell
implementations, as well as for rooting out bugs.
