tput for hp ux/7.0

I am trying to port a csh script to hp ux and I happen to
use tput from the system V version of Unix.  It allows two
position parameters for the "cup" capname while the tput
on the hp version does not allow them parameters.  It 
insteads uses something like tparm with ugly syntax to 
push and pop parameters on to the stack.  Can someone
respond to me and show me how one positions the cursor
in various positions on the screen for a c-shell script
