There were 8 character hostname problems in SVR3.0 HDB UUCP on the 3B2
flavor tapes. I recall fixing one or two in my daytime job. I don't
remember if they were fixed in SVR3.2, or if they were not and I had to
finger it out. Things would work in one direction but not the other.
