VPIX Sound

I had posted a request for assistance about two weeks ago dealing with
getting VP/ix to produce sound under Interactive UNIX 2.0.2

One of the persons responding, suggested checking to make sure that
the (S)ound option was enabled in the VP/ix menu, which it was.  

Three people responding asked me to post the outcome, since they had
similar problems....  Sorry folks, but so far, no one has come up with
any suggestions which have managed to produce sound.  :-(
 
Any body have any other suggestions?
